Collective Bargaining Agreement
The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is the agreement between the faculty of United Academics AAUP/AFT Local 4996 and the University of Alaska. It governs various facets of faculty employment such as salary, benefits, teaching reviews, tenure & promotion, academic freedom, grievances, complaints, and contract renewals.

    Negotiation Process
    The CBA generally will be effective for a three year period of time. The current CBA is set to expire at the end of December 2006. Negotiations training will begin the summer of 2005 to establish a new CBA. If you are interested in working on the Table Team or serving as Chief Negotiator position for the 2006-2009 CBA, please contact one of your campus Representative Assembly members or your Organizational VP.
